Joe has spent his career on the financing side of West Michigan real estate — originating loans, processing files, and leading mortgage sales teams. Across more than 1,000 family mortgages, he watched the same pattern from every seat: the industry kept getting bigger and more automated, and borrowers kept getting handed off — to a portal, to a queue, to whoever picked up this time.
The deals that went wrong almost never went wrong because the math was hard. They went wrong because nobody was accountable for the whole file — and nobody had taken twenty minutes to actually teach the borrower what they were signing up for.
Bastien Mortgage is the opposite of that, on purpose: one broker who knows your file end to end, shops it across dozens of wholesale lenders, tells you the honest math — including when the right answer is to wait — and answers his own phone.
